proxmon Privacy Policy
Version 2026-11-05r3 · effective November 5, 2026
This policy explains what information Belotegroup.com ("we", "us"), the party responsible for it, collects through proxmon.net and through proxmon's licensing (access requests, license keys, downloads and update checks), what we do with it, and who handles it on our behalf. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for advertising.
What we collect
| When | What |
|---|---|
| You request access | Your name, email address, company (if given), roughly how many devices you have, the plan you chose, your note, your IP address, the time, and the version of this policy you acknowledged. |
| We issue a license | Your name, email address, plan, the note from your request, the dates and which of our staff issued it. In our database we store a fingerprint (a SHA-256 hash) and the first 10 characters of your License Key, not the key itself; the key is sent to you by email. |
| You accept the license terms | The name you type (and organization, if you give one), your email address, the first 10 characters of your License Key, the versions of the End User License Agreement and this policy (and a fingerprint of their exact text), your IP address, your browser's user agent and the time. This is our record of the agreement. Failed attempts are recorded with the IP address, the time and the reason, to stop key guessing. |
| Your installation downloads proxmon or checks for updates | Your License Key (to check it), the proxmon version installed, your IP address and the time, including attempts we refuse (for example before the terms are accepted). Your license also shows the time, IP address and version of its most recent use, and a download count. |
| You email us | Your message and email address. |
| You visit proxmon.net | Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes the technical details of each visit (such as IP address, browser and pages requested) to deliver the site, protect it from abuse, and give us traffic statistics. |
What proxmon does not send us
proxmon runs on your own server. The information it collects about your hosts, virtual machines, containers, storage, alerts and accounts stays there, as do the credentials you give it. The only thing an installation sends to us is the update check described above: your License Key and the version number (and a technical "user agent" line naming proxmon and its version), once a day and whenever you install, update or check for updates by hand.
Features you set up yourself in proxmon send information directly from your server to the services you choose, not to us: for example email through your mail server, notifications through ntfy, webhooks, browser push messages (delivered through your browser maker's push service, such as Google, Mozilla or Apple), heartbeat checks, and Tailscale. Those services' own privacy policies apply.
How we use it
- to review access requests and issue and manage licenses;
- to deliver proxmon and its updates, and to tell your installation whether an update is available;
- to email you about your request, your license, important changes to our terms, and support;
- to keep a record of your acceptance of our terms;
- to prevent abuse, misuse of license keys and fraud, and to keep our services secure; and
- to comply with the law and to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
We do not use your information for advertising and we do not build profiles of you. If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, our legal bases are performing our agreement with you (licenses, downloads, updates), our legitimate interests (reviewing requests, security, records of acceptance) and legal obligations.
Who handles it for us
We use these service providers, who process information only to provide their service to us:
| Provider | What for | What they handle |
|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare | Hosting proxmon.net, our database and file storage, security, the sign-in to our admin page, and forwarding email sent to our proxmon.net addresses | Everything listed under "What we collect" |
| Resend | Sending our emails | Your name and email address and the content of the emails we send you, which includes your License Key; and the copies of access requests (name, email, company, hosts, note) that are emailed to us |
| Our email inboxes | Emails you send us, and the copies of access requests (name, email, company, hosts, note) that are emailed to us |
We also send ourselves a phone notification through ntfy.sh when a request arrives; it says only that a request is waiting and contains none of your details. If we add online payment, the payment provider will be listed here before we use it. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or to a successor if our business is sold or merged (that successor would be bound by this policy).
These providers may process information in the United States and other countries.
How long we keep it
- Requests we decline: deleted 12 months after the decision.
- Requests still waiting after 12 months: deleted.
- Download and update-check records, failed acceptance attempts and other activity records: deleted after 24 months. The IP address of a license's most recent use is cleared once that use is 24 months old.
- Licenses, approved requests and acceptance records: kept while the license exists and for 6 years after it is revoked or ends, so we can show what was agreed; then deleted.
- Emails: kept as long as needed to deal with them and for our records.
Cookies
proxmon.net does not use cookies for tracking or advertising and has no third-party analytics or ad scripts. Our hosting provider may set strictly necessary security cookies. Our admin page uses a sign-in cookie for our own staff only.
Security
Connections to proxmon.net are encrypted, License Keys are stored in our database only as fingerprints, our admin page requires a separate sign-in, and access to your information is limited to the people who run proxmon. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting your information, we will tell you as the law requires.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, or to delete it, by emailing support@proxmon.net. Deleting your information ends your license, and we may keep what the law requires or what we need to defend a legal claim, such as the record that you accepted our terms. Depending on where you live (for example the EU, the UK or certain US states) you may have further rights, such as objecting to processing or complaining to your data protection authority; we will respond to such requests as the law requires. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in California law.
Children
proxmon is for system administrators and businesses. It is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
We will post each new version here with its date. If a change is material, we will also email the address on your license.
